Toyota introducing six electric vehicles in Europe by 2026

  • Toyota also planning to launch first cars with new ‘solid state’ batteries

Toyota will introduce six electric vehicles in Europe by 2026, it announced this week.

That will include a production version of two concept cars — a compact urban SUV next year and a sport crossover in 2025.

Toyota is also planning to introduce the first cars with new and more efficient ‘solid state’ batteries from 2027-28 which can recharge to 80 per cent in just ten minutes.

I am honoured to have been named AA Campaigner For Motoring at the prestigious Guild of Motoring Writers’ annual awards dinner held at the RAC Club in London’s Pall Mall on Thursday night.
