Infiniti Vision QE Concept Teases Brand’s First EV | Carscoops

Infiniti is finally ready to sell its first electric vehicle, and it looks like it will be a sleek, premium sedan made in America

Although its parent brand Nissan is one of the earliest adopters of modern EVs, Infiniti has been slow to join the electric movement. However, it is now planning to get into the game, dropping a teaser for the Vision QE, a concept version of what will become its first EV.

Infiniti has so far said little about the upcoming model, but judging from the teaser image, it would appear to be a sedan. Moreover, the upcoming electric Infiniti features a sleek roofline and the silhouette of a four-door coupe.

That aligns closely with descriptions provided by dealers who got an early look at it in June. Referred to as a “striking evolution” of the Q70, the dealers said that it carries similarities to the Tesla Model S combined with a Porsche-like rear end.

Teased once before, Infiniti showed off the car’s nose in February 2022. Featuring the new three-dimensional Infiniti badge and a lineup of piano-key running lights that stretch across the entirety of its nose, the new Infiniti promises to be both striking and premium-looking.

Infiniti recently revealed the QX Monograph concept, which previews its next-generation QX80. Big and bold, the updated model is expected to jump in price from around $70,000 to around $100,000 in a bid to attract more wealthy customers. The brand also unveiled a new architectural style for its dealerships that will make them look more stylish and luxurious.

The automaker is also spending money on its production facilities. Back in 2022, Nissan announced that it would invest $500 million in its Canton plant in Mississippi to prepare it for EV production. The carmaker plans to build both a Nissan and an Infiniti EV there, the latter of which is likely to be the production version of the Vision QE.
