Cadillac CT5-V, Blackwing Get 33-Inch Screen, Super Cruise – Kelley Blue Book

Cadillac has made some changes to its spicy and nuclear-hot sport sedans for 2025. The CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing will each get an updated look, a more high-tech cabin with a massive screen, and Super Cruise hands-free tech for those who bought a great driver’s car but decided not to drive it.

Like most luxury automakers, Cadillac builds a midsize luxury car with a nice blend of relaxing comfort and advanced technology, the 2024 Cadillac CT5. It uses a 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine making 237 horsepower mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission — more than enough for your daily commute, but nothing to earn respect from a race car.

And, like most luxury automakers, Cadillac has a sports division that retunes many of its cars to make them sportier. In Cadillac’s case, that’s the V department. The CT5-V uses a 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 making 360 horsepower, mated to that same 10-speed.

But Cadillac also goes a step further, selling a limited number of CT5-V Blackwing models. With an absurd 668-hp 6.2-liter supercharged V8 and a 6-speed stick, they are essentially track cars with lots of luxury features. And yes, you can buy a Blackwing with the 10-speed automatic if rowing your own doesn’t interest you.

It’s the CT5-V and the Blackwing that get updates for 2025. Cadillac hasn’t revealed pricing. The 2024 CT5-V starts at $51,495. The Blackwing has a list price of $93,495 but is generally a special-order item not stocked at dealerships.

Updated Look, Built-in Track Coach

The changes include a mildly updated look, with a revised front fascia, slightly different for each model. They also gain walk-up lighting choreography to greet the driver at night and quad trapezoidal exhaust tips.

The stacked headlights are etched with the Cadillac Mondrian crest.

But bigger changes come inside. Both models gain the immense 33-inch diagonal screen found in the Lyriq.  

In both, it runs a new Performance Data Recorder based on technology used to hone the performance of GM race cars. A “speed tips tool” will even study your lap times and play them back for you, highlighting improvement opportunities.

V-Series models equipped with automatic transmissions now come with GM’s Super Cruise hands-free highway driving tech.

Cadillac says both will be available this summer. But if you want to see them, you can tune in to watch the Rolex 24 at Daytona starting Jan. 27. The Blackwing will serve as the safety car.
