The Chevy Impala is an absolute icon of classic cars. There are so many versions of this Impala that there is literally an Impala for every part of the American collector car hobby. They are embraced by muscle car fans, the Lowrider community, and even the first time collector. if you are interested in American collector cars there is likely an Impala on your radar, and if you are a fan of muscle cars this car is likely to fit the bill.

The seller describes this 1965 Impala SS as being powered by a 454cid V8 backed by a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include bucket seats, a center console, power steering, electronic ignition, and upgraded power four-wheel disc brakes. Finished in Evening Orchid and equipped with a black vinyl top over a newer black vinyl interior, this Impala Super Sport comes from the selling dealer with a clear title.

The exterior of this Impala SS has received a repaint in its original color of Evening Orchid (code P), with a black vinyl top. Features include chrome bumpers, Super Sport emblems, wheel opening moldings, and a rear-mounted antenna. The selling dealer states that some minor bubbles are present near the left taillight. The car rides on a set of silver 15-inch Chevrolet Rally wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires.

The interior of this Impala SS has been redone under previous ownership and comes with black vinyl front bucket seats and a matching rear seat surrounded by black vinyl door panels and trim. Interior features include manual windows, power steering, a center console-mounted automatic transmission shifter, and an AM radio. The dash features a 120-mph speedometer and gauges for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, amps, and manifold vacuum that are located in front of the driver. The odometer reads 55,511 miles, but the true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

Under the hood the car features a reportedly period-correct 454cid V8 and is backed by a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. Engine bay custom features include an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, a four-barrel carburetor, a chrome open-element air cleaner, a HEI distributor, tube headers, a chrome power brake booster, and a chrome dual-circuit master cylinder. All-in-all the car has a great looking engine compartment.

The Chevy Impalas of the 1960s are absolutely the essence of classic American cars, with their iconic body styling, luxurious of the time interior appointments, and recognizable triple light rear light assemblies. They will remain an absolute icon of 1960s American styling greatness. Combined with that this SS model that’s equipped with an awesome 454ci engine is something to seriously consider for your own collection.
